The Walking Dead: The rising phenomenon

The zombie phenomenon is nothing new; in fact the last decade has seen the undead shuffle into our collective consciousness faster than their mouldy, rotting legs should be able to carry them. TV shows, films, books and games have all become obsessed with the undead.

The biggest franchise in the zombie universe, certainly of the last five years, is The Walking Dead. Originally a series of very successful graphic novels the series went on to become an amazingly popular TV show, and also spawned a couple of games as well. One of them was licensed from that television show and was an awful, unpolished cash grab. However Telltale Games went back to what makes The Walking Dead special; not the zombies, but the people. They crafted an emotional, touching and harrowing story about a young girl named Clementine who must fight for survival and hunt for her missing parents with the help of an unlikely group of friends.
