Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

The Metal Gear Solid series has always been confusing for me. Gorgeous visuals and some of the most fun and challenging gameplay around on one hand, but some of the most nonsensical, poorly written, poorly edited and, frankly, bullshit stories that I have ever experienced in any medium. People love it, people buy it and people go crazy and talk about how Metal Gear Solid is, somehow, some of the greatest tripe that they have ever played.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is the most recent title in the series and is acting as a precursor to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, which is out this September. The game is short, it can finished in under an hour, but offers a lot of replay value for a smaller price. There’s less of the typical Metal Gear Solid cut scene nonsense and a much more tightly focused scope on the actual gameplay. It benefits massively from this, but The Phantom Pain will, no doubt, head back down the old route.
