Some games have been sitting in my backlog for a very, very long time. Either because I got stuck, got bored or simply stopped playing as something new and shiny came along. Over the years I’ve got stressed and stuck as a young buck, before I started to have disposable income and then bought way too many games than I could realistically play. Beyond Good and Evil was one such game.
Yet when I reformatted my PC and started downloading the games I wanted to play I found myself being increasingly selective. Did I need 4 or 5 competitive FPS games? So I narrowed it down and Beyond Good and Evil found its way into the select group, and boy am I glad it did! It’s a classic game, a charming game and still holds up pretty well today. It has a realistic female protagonist and has a great European flavour that’s incredibly unusual.
